éQUIPE 2: PATHOGéNIE ET COMMENSALISME DES ENTéROBACTERIES

DESCRIPTION DU PROGRAMME DE RECHERCHE
|
L’équipe « Pathogenèse et Commensalisme des Entérobactéries », dirigée par Eric Oswald, développe une approche multidisciplinaire (microbiologie, biologie moléculaire et cellulaire, immunologie, métagénomique, physiologie intégrée, ainsi que des modèles animaux) pour étudier la frontière entre commensalisme et pathogénie bactériennes et leur rôle dans la modulation du cycle cellulaire et de l’intégrité génomique de la cellule hôte, la physiologie ou encore le métabolisme. Afin d’atteindre ces objectifs, de nouvelles connaissances scientifiques et technologiques ont été acquises dans les différents aspects de l’infection bactérienne, de la colonisation intestinale et de l’écologie. L’équipe travaille sur plusieurs pathovars de Escherichia coli tels que les E. coli entéropathogènes et hémorragiques ou pathogènes extra-intestinaux (EPEC et EHEC ou ExPEC), mais aussi sur les E. coli commensaux et probiotiques ainsi que sur le microbiote intestinal, la dysbiose et son impact sur l’infection, les maladies métaboliques et la carcinogenèse.
