Protein Bio-Engineering Platform
General Mission
The Protein Bioengineering Platform (BIP) offers a comprehensive range of services dedicated to the production, purification, and bioconjugation of recombinant proteins. It holds particular expertise in the field of nanobodies.
To date, the platform provides the following services:
- Production of recombinant proteins (bacterial system routinely used; eukaryotic system under development)
- Purification via liquid chromatography using the ÄKTA Pure system (affinity, gel filtration, ion exchange)
- Bioconjugation of molecules (e.g., coupling with fluorophores, biotin, etc.)
- Implementation of ELISA/FLISA assays
Looking ahead, the platform plans to develop approaches for analyzing protein-protein interactions, particularly using HTRF technology. The platform is led by Céline Besson, an INSERM research engineer, with scientific support from C. Deraison and C. Bonnart, expert researchers in the field.
