Post-operative ileus & proteases
The aim of the study is to analyse the expression of proteases, protease inhibitors and protease-activated receptors (PARs) on samples of intestinal and colonic tissue in the operating theatre. This analysis will allow us to determine a correlation between modifications of these parameters and the occurence of post-operative paralytic ileus.
